Intel Mobility

whussup fellas, here is a couple of prototype vids from my midterm crit yesterday. this is the Intel Mobility project they are sponsoring us with. I teamed up for my project with Clare Hsu, so we have been given $1200 to create a user driven, digital mobile product that takes advantage of the power of Intel computer chips. we had boards and stuff, but these prototype videos explain them pretty well.

the first is a concept about personal documentation of our surrounding, to record and map our lives from the perspective of a media device on the wrist.

this second video is about the different lives that we live and how we change to meet their needs for example: work, home, school, club, etc. we call this our "chameleon lives" so this describes a cell phone that can re appropriate itself according to the context it is being used in. it is more of an explorational example of media interaction

the third video is about communication on a gestural level and how the language that we produce with our bodies can be translated into digital information. so this concept describes a system of a cell phone and media wrist band which can work together to interpret that information and create an enhanced user experience. this also talks about how we can better use our media devices in person and as a social product.

  1. I really like the concept behind all three of these videos. I especially like the first one, although i htink the second concept is one of the more marketable ones.
I really like how they are filmed too.
